LEGACY INTERIOR DESIGNS
Welcome to my online portfolio. With a focus being on sustainable and biophilic design, I make use of natural resources and elements to produce designs which leave little or no carbon footprint.
I started my journey in the property industry, where I worked in real estate for 6 years and discovered my passion for people's homes being a reflection of themselves. I went on to study interior design to curb my creativity into my passion, and had the honour of working at Weylandts Home Fitters which taught me a foundation of a successful interior business is its pillars. I continued to further my education in biophilic and sustainable design and found where my passion became my purpose.
We spend about 80% of our lives indoors and this has slowly deteriorated our natural circadian rhythm, as well as our connection with the living environment around us. My aim within design is to incorporate features within your home to not only save you water and energy costs and resources, but to enhance your health through interior and architectural design concepts.

Measured out to fit a compact space, this project is to reflect optimisation as one of our core values. To maximise even the smallest of spaces to make a big impact.

Specialising in smaller spaces, Tiny home design has become a passion for Christine. Making use of exterior natural inspiration and biophilic design concepts for interior is the main objective in this design.

Designing from scratch gives me the freedom to construct from my imagination. This small living space will be self-sustainable and will be constructed using natural or eco-friendly materials.

This project was based on photos of a home under reconstruction - The beautiful original wooden flooring needed to be kept, and the grey cladded-stone fireplace makes for a beautiful center piece.
